Default Cummins compatability question! Please help

I have an 03 250hp I just purchase and in the 20 miles I put new injectors then she blew up. I found a motor local but it's an ho motor can I make this work in my base 5.9 ? Please tell me it will ! Thank you guys you have been a super help!

Nobody?????!!!!! I don't want to let this motor get away. Are the injectors the same in the so and the ho... the 250 so vs the 305ho not the 325ho. I really need to know asap.

Call your local dealership and ask them. The service dept. can look it up on the computer.

Yea right ! You mean give them the two vins and they tell me the motors are different..... I need to know if the computers are pretty well the same and it will make it run.

And the 03 HO motor is out of an auto truck as well. Mine is also an auto

I say yes injector firing is the same voltage just the injector size is different. Run the complete HO motor and you should be fine! If it comes with the ECM then just have it programmed to your truck done deal!

That's what I have heard from 3 people now so I just went and bought the motor. It had zero blow by not a single bit of pressure out the oil cap, ran smooth, no lights , great oil press someone took care of it. I wound up getting it for 3k

Whats the fastest way to take these engines out. Is it easier to pull the everything off the front or will it make it up over the core support?

Take the entire front off Not Bumper. I cut the cross brace between the two mounting screws on both sides to remove.. Others have other ways but this is the simplest I found. It comes out as a unit really easy unplug the main harnesses and done. Disconnect the tranny too!
