This is the German market Common Rail 180hp Diesel Wrangler. Engine made by VM Motori a 100% Italian company of Chrysler.
Pictures caught last Saturday in an german offroad park. the first thing to recognize is the huge visible intercooler in front of the radiator.

 

That's one dirty engine compartment.

yeah, stands to reason it might get dirty!

one day i'll have a 4BT in my Cherokee. It's so ridiculous that every other country gets good diesel engines in everyday vehicles except us.
