I have been looking at this engine for a while and it's inline 5 cylinder brother. Are these engines easy to get parts for? I am thinking of swapping out my HZ 1 Toyota Landcruiser engine for the Sprinter/Mercedes either the 5 or the V6 diesels will fit with a little mods. Has there been anyone with hands on with this engines I have had some with the 4 and 6 inline Benz engines in my old Unimog. Cheers

 

Those are some of the best motor,trans combo our goverment will allow us to have in the U.S. look up on the sprinter forums there is tons of info there,they are in transition now with mercedes taking back controll of sprinter from dodge the first of the year.Go with the I-5 much better milage simmilar power less trouble.
