Well the only reason Bank$ trucks don't smoke is because they have 3 tons of nitrous being injected to clean up the fuel. I am not a fan of the smoke shows on the street. I get morons passing me all the time and see my stacks and they think they have to black out the road in front of me. Why? It just makes the road dangerous and I flip them off. I love my truck and I went though my childish smoke phase. I can roll some coal with my truck but I have it tuned so that I have to intentionally make it do that. Now in competition it's one thing but even that is starting to go away. Face it the smoke shows are a thing of the past and they need to go away and do it without DPF and the such. It is possible and the sooner we eat our own and educate them the less the outsiders wil have to bitch about and stop our pursuit of power.

And thats EXACTLY why the EPA has cracked down on us. the Diesel performance industry is all but shut down. Sadly, I probably will never buy another diesel truck.

I have and will always be a diesel fan. 2 of my rides don't smoke at all - no matter how hard they are pushed and yet they still get way better mileage than a gasser equal. My VW TDI has seen as high as 1180 km on a single 55L tank and cruises comfortably at 140km/h. The Benz has yet to break the 1000 km range mark on 85L of fuel but still for a 7 passenger all wheel drive it is exceptional. Cruising at almost 180km/h is not hard either. My dodge, well, it needs some work. I can drive it without smoking at all but it is a bit of a tank when driven like that. Granted with some money thrown at it it would not smoke either but either way it works well.

Personally I don't like anyone that smokes at me when I walk, ride or drive by. I think it is wasteful, ignorant and down right stupid.

yeah my truck can smoke alot but i know that its wasted fuel today i left a busy intersection and put it half way to the floor and belowed some smoke out andgot pulled over and was told smoke longer than 10seconds will get you a 500 dollar fine i told the officer i didnt mean to and he said he was giving me fair warning also he asked me what he could do to his truck to make it faster and i told him to blow some smoke but anyway it is not worth it also it is giving us such a bad name i dont want to have to down grade my truck to make the government happy so for all you that think black smoke is cool than then smoke away at the tune of 500 dollars a ticket and waste some 2.50 cent fuel fk that

if ur smokin for more than 10 seconds ur probably going to get a ticket anyways probably for speeding or something. i guess it depends on how fast he counts

i'll admit i'm a kid and i like smoke sometimes. i dont really like it just for no reason though cause yall are right smoking out somebody going down the road is dangerous. but it does help with bright lights and people following too close. i've had a few motorcycles come up on me ridin crazy and blew a little smoke just to let them no i was there and it kept them back off my tail.

and thats what i meant by work i.e. fuel economy like tdi's or needing a truck to haul a camper or something like that

Not using a bike path has nothing to do with blowing smoke.
Don't care what others do- start with yourself, it's called self discipline. You can't
expect others to do things right.

I don't have any problems with blowing smoke in competitions.
But knowing the fact that black smoke is simply wasted unburned fuel makes me wondering a bit. Even tanks with 2000hp and huge turbos mounted on them don't smoke at all. A tuner not using all possible power hasn't done his homework.

I hear that being tailgated thing so often.
Get off the throttle and pull over. Let those idiots pass. Ignore them. If you start to smoke, they don't talk about you- they always talk about "that smokin' trucks". Minority damages the image of the majority. Thank you...
The Diesel revolution just has started. Don't let it die.
