Thumbs up water in fuel!

first of all this is just what I was looking for, a great site all about diesel. This site looks alot of fun. Ok back to the point I have a 99 f-250 7.3 crew with edge attitude with juice, 4" magnaflow, afe stage 1 air intake. Anyways i am having problems with water getting into the fuel, and its not where im getting the fuel, cause i have gotten fuel from 3 differant stations and i would think that it would be rare of extremely bad luck getting bad fuel from 3 differant place's, and my buddy and i have thought about it and i only have problems when it rains, but i had it serviced about 4 mnths ago and they did a complete fuel system cleaner and he said that he replaced the seal for the lines coming out so any thoughts about what it my be?. its driving me insane.

This many not be the answer since it has to be coming from somewhere, but what about running a fuel additive?

I think the first thing I would look at would be a locking gas cap. Sounds to me like you pissed in somebodies wheeties. It takes a good amount of water to set those sensors off, a few drops aint gonna do it. If it was happening all the time I would suspect coolent water leaking into the system someplace. But only when it rains changes that. I assume your usin a fuel cap, and a leaking fuel line between between the tank and the first pump will draw air in, but not enough to do this. How about the fuel tank cap/module on top of the fuel tank, where the feeder tubes go in. I could see road spray pooling there and leakin in through a loose or missing fitting.

Wish I had more to offer.

I personally can't answer that, I have no knowledge what so ever of your engine in particular. I'm sure somewhere in the block there is a plug, gasket or juncture of some sort. I would be more inclined to check out the top of the fuel tank or sabotage though.

There will be folks on here that will be more help then I am during the day though.

You could do a fuel analysis and see if there is coolant in it. I thought about the vandal thing too, but thought I would see if there a more common problem.
