Man you guys are mean. I keep hearing they are so crappy but I have one, my dad has one, my old boss has 3, my ex's dad has one and we've had no issues what so ever and my dads is the only stock one that gets babied.

When I was out working in BC I met a guy who had one lifted and said how crappy they were but I asked him, what kinda trouble he has had with it and he said nothing yet but that one of his buddies, buddy had lots of trouble. I can honestly say that I have never actually MET a person that has had any of these major issues with the motor. I'm the only one that has had an issue at all, I've had the EGR replaced on warranty once but just got in my delete kit so I'm waiting for the warmer weather(almost was going to be this weekend till i woke up to a storm and 6in of snow today) so I can slap it in and hopefully clear up my only bug.

it only takes one bad review to ruin 3 good ones. People who have put studs in them and removed the egr have some mean 6.0's

I have an 04 f-250 with the 6.0 with 183k on it. I have replaced the oil cooler, head gaskets, egr vavle a few times and cleaned it many times then unplugged it and haven't had any problems with it since. Recently put 8 injectors in it. Put a banks 6gun/speedloader in it at 70k, and lasted to 138k with no problems at all. I tow with it and run pretty hard most of the time. Runs like a raped ape when the egr is working properly or unplugged.

If V-8 diesels were so good then 95% of eighteen wheelers on the road wouldn't have 6 cylinders in 'em

I'm not trying to say they are the best by any means just sick of everyone trashin the powerstroke all the time with stories from 'friends of a friend' when everyone I know personally that has owned on has never had a bad thing to say about em.
