Default STROKER, CUMMINS, OR D-MAX

Hey guys new to the forum. im 21 yrs old getting ready to purchse a new truck. and im wondering what is the best ALL-AROUND truck MPG, POWER, LIFT-KITS, HANDLING etc.

the first thing i will be doing is a DPF delete kit. then lift kit, & exhaust.

i need some help in what to look for in getting a new truck now days.

and can EPA really take my truck from me if i change the exhaust.

and just so ya'll know EPA is the most useless organization besides the department of
homeland security.

thanks,
chad

hey chad!!! welcome to the site. i myself am a cummins dude. ill take a ford though. IMHO, cummins is the way to go. strongest engine, and its a 6 cyliner. let youtube be all the proof you need. also, cummins has been in the diesel game for some time, so theres parts, among part, among parts for it. i dont know much about the EPA reguations, but i do know that a muffler is unnesccary on turbo'd vehilcular devices...

A cummins guy is going to tell you to buy a cummins, a ford guy will tell you to buy a powerstroke, and a GM guy will tel you to buy a Dmax. Will this be a brand new truck? Drive all the big three, they all have there pro and cons. Going to a brand specific site, will give you some insight to the potential problems with all of them, just remember that people post their problems more than their good experiences. Good luck with finding your truck.

yes this will be a brand new truck. im 21 yrs olds and i work for a subcontractor for UPS, & Fedex and we are swamped w/ work, & continue to recieve orders for our equiptment.

but i figure that im 21, & when i get this truck im getting everything i can on it, because this will be my only truck for a long while. im leaning toward the powerstroke. but at the same time i hear horror stories of the 6.7 then i think CUMMINS would not put a engine out that does not work properly.

I would say you want something with a SFA since you said lift, but IFS isn't bad if your not going BIG. I just can't get over the problems ford had with the 6.0. I would do a lot of research before I got a 6.4. That leaves dodge IMO, but definitely drive them all first. You also have to look at the local dealers you don't want to be hung out to dry by a POS dealer.
