Default Dirty Air Filters?

Ok, so on another forum I saw that a couple of people have checked their intake just behind the air filter and a couple of filters that are highly regarded have let some dust through. I was curious if this is happening to a lot of filters. Post up and tell what you are using.
Please no bashing on this thread.

Ran a Pro-Guard 7 kit and it was letting dust through. Took it off and went back to the Airaid.

The question that raises with me is..... What do our bombed trucks want for CFM and if it is like 500+ CFM, wouldn't that change the test results considerably? Also, I think there are probably a few better filters on the market today to put up against the AC.
Thanks for the input 2500.

It still shows you have to sacrificing filtering efficiency to increase air flow most of the time. I think Amsoil has some newer air filters that are suppose to be very good. IIRC the AFE filter tested was the pro guard 7 which today is still considered a good filter.

I've run my AFE stage 2 with the sock on it for a few years and it is (with the sock) squeaky clean. Without it - not so much.

This is the kind of feedback I am looking for. Hopefully I can talk the wife into something in the next month or so.
Thanks for the input.
