I'm the guy looking at the trucks. This is great info. What are the pro's and con's of the chevys? I've had great luck with isuzu gas engines, so I've always been a little biased towards the duramax's without actually knowing alot. I don't plan on really modding the truck other than chipping it, and pulling off retarded things like turbo silencer rings. I've got an 18ft boat, so I won't be doing much heavy towing either. I just want a diesel, and no one builds a mid-size diesel truck.

id go with the dodge, ford has too many problems with that engine. The newer autos in the dodges arent as bad as they used to be and can handle towing and little bit of "tweaking" of the fuel system no problem, but i would low ball the crap out of em when you go to make a deal, trucks especially diesels arent sellin real well so you should be able to get a good deal on it.

Chevy's aint bad just depends on what your gonna be using it for. IMO

and welcome to DB
