Default The Government and Diesel Trucks

Anybody else tired of the Gov interfering with our lives more and more? There grand ideas to "clean-up" diesel have absolutely killed performance and more importantly fuel economy. In this day and age where diesel is teetering on the $5.00 a gallon mark nationwide, and the governments refusal to allow drilling in ANWR and the gulf, why do we need these ridiculous emission control systems?

Its manipulation for profit , the rest of the world , goes for diesels as much as possible , because of the 30-35 % more efficiency as a priority , but they take a different approach on the emissions , still go for clean , but not at the sacrifice of millage , the bottom line is , the need import less oil .
Here any excuse to make more profits , use the extreme greens to put in expensive emission parts [ more profit-manufactures ] at the cost of more fuel [ more profit for there pals - oil co. ] .
Same with new tech , check out this , nothing happening since they announced a few yrs ago .
