This isn't the worst I've seen, but it's not the best either. I don't want to know what got past it, if anything did.

Yep! Actually a butter tub. I got too close up with the camera.

 

I haven't ever seen mine with a drop of water or even a hint of debris. That looks really bad compared to any that has come out of my fuel filter.

Did you drain that out the tube or let it drip off of the filter when you removed it?
