You can set an alarm that trips a relay to power up a buzzer, light, W/M setup, turn on a fan, ect. it also has high temp recall (great for the end of a run when you can't pay attetion)

not a bad deal but i like to be able to see how fast my EGT are climbing and a analog gauge allows for quicker reference for me. The idea of having the gauge control different functions is a good idea

I got a couple like that in my truck.
The reaction time on mine isn't the greatest, so they're a lot better for things like oil, water, transmission, fuel and ambient temperatures than intake or exhaust temperatures. The eBay ad doesn't mention their reaction time.
For exhaust and intake temperatures, I have a programmable Cooling Mist controller and milspec laptop.
