Default SEMA - Sema Action Network - This Is Awesome!

Hey SEMA is doing what they call their SAN, it's basically a watchdog group that follows automotive related legislation, covering EVERYTHING with an engine, from ATV/dirt bikes to hot rods to late model cars/trucks; both on highway and off highway vehicles. What they do is watch all the sneaky BS politicians/legislators that try to pass laws under the radar. They also classify what politicians, both elected and candidates, are friendly to our hobbies/interests.

There are things like 'state/fed legislators that support the hobby', 'how to find/contact your local legislator/rep', 'how to lobby your elected officials' and a ton of other resources. it's not a difficult site to navigate through and it's VERY EASY to find the automotive niche that fits/affects your motor enthusiast hobbies.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: go sign up. you can taylor it to what state you're interested in getting updates on, what vehicle types and a few other options. Then they occasionally send you an update email notifying you of what's up, giving you a chance to write, call or email your representatives. You may think you don't have much of a voice but when the guys go to write a bill or cast a vote on it, they'll be sure to keep in mind the hundreds or thousands of letters and calls letting them know where the people that elected them to represent stand on the issue.

This is even for all you guys in Canadia!!

SEMA SAN

click the big box at the top of the page that says JOIN SAN NOW! list your local chapter or DB forum as your 'car club'. I got this from my traditional hot rod forum, I know most of you guys are on other forums, too, spread the word! (which I guess it's okay to mention on this site that other forums DO exist and may be helpful....)
