Diesel prices are shore discouraging. If you look around the net you might find some real disturbing information. One I found is that oil is peaking. That means they can't keep up with demand. The reason they won't build more refineries which would lower prices. The cost would not be recovered. Oil is expected to hit $200 a barrel and reflect a $7.00 per gal at the pump. At that I would not be tooling around in my Sprinter RV diesel van Mercedes Benz (24mpg)

I don't think they will , what I think they will do is just pass along any hike in fuel coasts back to the consumer. Soon we will not be able to afford the shipping charges! WHAT THEN

A guy that works for JB Hunt came in the other day. Hes not a driver. buu he works at the main building. When I asked about the strike he said no way would it happen. He said it was because the drivers need money and the company will pass the fuel cost along.

Sorry but if you do the math you aren't even close.

Right now we are pushing the $5 gallon at $105 to $110 per barrel. If the oil was to go up another $90 or so a barrel you can bet that we'd be paying closer to $10 a gallon.

I'd hate to be there even more than I hate where we are now.

My point is that as the price climbs we get screwed to the point where either everything grinds to a hault OR we all get huge pay increases to offset this inflation.

I'd put my money on the "everything grinds to a hault" scenario... but then I'd probably really need it if it did! LOL!
