Most 8 pin relays are DPDT. Two switches operated by one coil.

What about NPN and PNP transistors? should we go into detail?

Everything you need to know about wiring accessories like alarms, remote starts, stereos, relays and diodes.
It's very helpful to novices and advanced- pro's don't might need it.
