Default dana 60 swap

i have an 01 f-350 with a dana 50 front axle and leaf spring suspension. i have an 06 f-250 with a dana 60 and coil over suspension. i want to run the 06 wheels on my 01 but the wheels have different offsets so they sit farther in than my old wheels did and they look funny. can i just swap the hubs or do i have to swap the entire axle? if i have to swap axles what would be the easiest route to take, leaf or coil?

i don't think the D 60 is any wider than the D 50.

i dont think the axles are wider but the hubs are. i think its because its from a newer super duty, not because the d60 and 50 differences. the hubs from the 06 are around 2 inches wider

The offset IS different....Only thing you can do is get a spacer to make up the difference. Or an entire swap,

i know the offset is different, but that still only answers part of the question. i plan on keeping the truck till it quits so the swap will be some work but it would be worth it. i'm just trying to figure out the easiest way to do it.

People have done the swap. Plenty of people. Just google it. It just about bolts up. The rear goes in place like it belongs there, the front take a little work but nothing a novice cant do.

Its on my list if one ever comes my way.
