That so called mechanic needs a good I have never used an air chisel to remove an oil filter. When I was still mechanicing on trucks and heavy equipment I never had to get that western with it. He did the damage so he has to pay.

I called Ford, the big people and they put a call in to the dealer to ask what was up. They could not get ahold of anybody and said they will follow up and get back to me. The service lady called me and was very nice today. She said it will be ready tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. So I guess we will see how it goes.

they say ya get more with honey than with vinegar but when lead is in the equation the lead is always better although you wont get much out of it

They assumed the risk of damaging the vehicle by using the air chisel... they should have asked you and explained the risks (transfering the risk to you).

I had a similar problem at SAMS club... they couldn't get the lug nuts loose and said they couldn't/wouldn't perform the service.

So I loosened them in the parking lot with the lug wrench... If one had broken, it would have been my responsibility.

I like the "get more with honey than with vinegar". Remember it's easy, and more dramatic, to go from nice guy to total a**. Always start off nice.

My $0.02

However, the dealer damaged it, they pay to fix it. IMO

Oh if anybody cares I gave them $50 bucks. I think that was a fair price because being a 7.3 the stupid thing was bound to leak anyway. I see it as a cheap fix by the dealer. Oh BTW anybody want to buy a 7.3 with 87k on the ticker, I need 4 full doors the supercab is to small.
