Why Ford?

Honestly, they all suck. Every single one of these trucks will give you problems at some point, that's why we're all on here, to learn how to fix and prevent.
Show me any mechanical thing made by man that wont fail at some point (I mean mechanical, as in moving parts).
Chevy's snap cranks, crack pistons, injectors suck in the older trucks (LB7), front ends are weak, trannies suck when you mod even a little.
Dodge... melt pistons much? How about that injector knock on CR's that everyone either seems to have or is trying to hide? Auto trannies suck, but are awesome when built. Easy to mod them though. Undoubtedly one of the best motors out there for reliability, they've been in tractors forever.
Ford, depending on the years you'll have different issues. trannies starting in 03 and up are rock solid, but lifting the cab is often saw as a downfall when doing work (even though it's quick and easy to remove, IF you have a lift), injectors suck, fuel systems are expensive starting with 6.0 and up, emissions crap and 4 bolts per cylinder sucks.
I'm sure there is a lot more I'm forgetting, but if you do the basic mods, take care of your crap and stay up on maintenance, you'll be fine with any of them. Just learn what goes and what lasts...
I can wreck any of the trucks out there, and so can most of you, so don't tell me one is that much better than the other.

Not trying to knock the trucks, because a Ford is definitely the most reliable in the market. I just was very unimpressed with it for being a diesel. the other thing is the 6.0 my other buddy had got its but spanked every time he lined up with someone, and he dropped SERIOUS amounts of money in it, even spraying NOS!
