its all on preference, i think you can go a lil' longer without cleaning the sealed one opposed to the non sealed, just a guess though? less dirt and stuff from the road and weather getting to it, i may be crazy but oh well , let know how it goes man

I will make a post hopefully this weekend. It should be in this afternoon. I will put it on tomorrow and put it to the test.

My intake came in and I got it installed. I am noticing better mpg already but haven't figured out how much better. According to the lie-o-meter on the dash it went from 18 on the hwy and 16 in the city. But we all know that is BS!! But I guess any improvment is better than none. Will post actual mpg once once I burn this tank.

I really don't hear much difference in the sound, but its probably due to the sealed box. If it would be the opened body stage II the sound would probably be there. I like the power and mpg increase though.

sealed box keeps you from pulling hot air under the hood. I know with the SCT you can datalog this (at least on the 6.0's you can) and check intake air temperature. It would be interesting to see between stock and open AFE vs stock and sealed AFE.
