how often do you changed the tranny fluid?

Ford says external filter and flush at 20,000 miles

I have read you have to use the Ford mercon sp fluid or you will have problems...

What about the inside pan filter?

I have purchased both and are changing this week end?

2005 6 liter

Also both diff oils were really dirty so i changed them both also

 

only use the sp if it says on your dipstick or your owners manual. if your dip stick says mercon, you can use regualr mercon. I would recommend the Mobil 1 ATF full synthetic. I change my tranny fluid 1 time each year.
