Default Ford brake calipers

Anyone have problem with these on 99 and up trucks? 1/2 ton and up?

I have been doing brakes on all of my wifes and mine vehicles. I have always done my friends vehicles as well. ever since I have had my license

Currently my friends have an 07 ford 350 and a 2005 150. My dad has a 99

I did brakes on each of them this year. on the 150 I could hardley press the pistons back in. I had to unhook the caliper and bring it to my bench and press in. the pistons were sticking and would press in smoothly and it was hard as hell. we go it back together and two days later it was leaking. so we replaced it and now it pullsto that direction. so we had to repalce the other side as well now its fine.

I did the brakes on my buddys 07 and I noticed right off the bat that the rotor was shot on that side and the brakes were worn, the other side was fine with good pads. He said screw it replace the rotor and pads. As soon as I started to press the calipers it started leaking. He got it repalced under warranty but damn. the truck has 40K on it.

My dad has had the worst luck. his brakes were pulling to one side. so we did the brakes and of course one side was good and one side was bad. so I did. pads on both sides and rotor and pads and caliper on the passenger side as I couldnt even press it in.
then he called me a month ago and said his rear brakes are sticking. so I check his brakes and one side is so so and the other is metal to metal. I so we did pads and rotors and decides not to replace the caliper as it wasnt hard to push in seemed smooth. Today he calls and says his brakes are locked in the rear again. so I know it is that same caliper.

have any of you guys had issues with calipers on the ford trucks? seems weird that all of a sudden I am replacing ford calipers.
These are the only calipers I have ever had to replace because they are bad.

nope no warpage. i just got done doing the caliper and cant get the damn brakes to work right. i bled the system and there is no air but the brakes have a dead spot for the first2 inches and if pumped get tighter but if just left set for 5 seconds you can push them to the floor.

I have been changing a lot of calipers. More rears than fronts, though.

just replaced my second right rear caliper on my 99 super duty locked up for the second time. replaced both front today also as the right front was sticking also . both times on the right rear i've had to replace the rotor and caliper due to both being ate up so much never heard a sound out of it brake hose appears to be fine caliper slides were in good shape pistons just sticking 178,000 miles second one lasted about 4 yrs not sure why at this point that its always the right rear other than it being the furtherest from the master cyl . puzzels me . i've spent 27 yrs in the automotive parts and haven't come across this problem before
