Default 2000 engine in a 97

i put a 2000 engine in a 1997 f250. i still have to put a fuel pump on it. im trying to figure out how to make my old wiring harness work on my newer engine. most of the wires on the old harness will hook up to the new engine but there are more plugs and wires on the newer harness. and im not sure how to hook my wastegate actuator up on my new turbo with my old wiring. is there a way to do this? or would i be better off trying to find a free flowing exhaust housing? any suggestions about the turbo? and i think i wanna keep the split shot injectors. will my old wiring harness work for the newer injectors if i swap the uvc harnesses and the valve covers and gaskets from the old to the new?
if anyone has any ideas im listening. im about done withe the truck if i can just get the injection and wastegate hooked up and running

You need to take the entire wire harness off the blown up motor and swap it to the new motor. Everything else will be fine.

ya you will. or you can just have the pcm flashed for it. but i would go with the new injectors and get a chip (dp tuner, swamps) etc..

The single shot programing will run the splits fine, there will be some qurks but nothing you cant tune around when you get a chip later.

That differance alone will not keep it from running.
