Default Question on FORD in cab Control Module

I just picked up this truck last week and it has this Control Module mounted on bottom of the dash by the shifter. I talked with Ford and they were not a great help on telling what it does, and there was no manual with the truck to explain what it is or what it controls. There is a readout of the RPM that shows on it when the truck is on and running. I am attaching a few pictures to see if any one here might now what it is??

been quite a few years since i played with one, dont know what all it can do but its main feature was to control idle speeds for certain uses like PTO, winching, etc... most i saw them on were wreckers. winch and pump trucks.

I guess the company that had this truck before sets up all their trucks with one of these.

SEIC or Stationary Elevated Idle Control(ler)

Like he said, it's for bumping the idle for PTO operation, Battery Charge Protect, etc.


Dang, I just saw the link - that's the manual for 'er. LOL
