Default diesel fuel!

I would like to know what is differant about diesel fuel other then less sulfur? The new fuel seems to black smoke less. I would like to know if there is anything I can add to my fuel to get the black smoke back?

It's a good idea to add something for lubricity. Some use 2 cycle oil...not sure if that adds any smoke or not?? Never done it.
A lot of the fuel additives actually help to reduce smoke by getting a more efficient burn.

also the ULSD has a higher temp of gelling which doesnt really matter anymore at least for the next 8 months. but add two stroke or another fuel additive to lube your engine better and you really dont need more smoke because your just wasting fuel
