The best thing you can do is return that bully dog and get an SCT and get tunes from Innovative Diesel pur on it. The Bully Dog is really rough on the transmissions and the Innovative tunes on the SCT will keep the problems to a minimum.
I concur on the Innovative Diesel tunes, they can send you some sick tunes that will take care of your truck and at the same time, make your trucks tires scream from a dead stop and leave the other cars at the light thinking what the hell is in that thing.

A little story about K&N. K&N came to the mine one day, and said "You guys spend $10k a month on air filters. We can cut that in more than half!" so the mine agrees, and they put K&N's on a bunch of equipment. Within the first HOUR they lost a CAT engine. Chalked it up to equipment wear, engine had a lot of hours on it, yadda yadda. So the next hour goes buy, and ANOTHER CAT engine goes down.

Let in more air, let in more dirt... the Donaldson filter system on the 6.0 flows enough air as it is.

I have seen countless 'dusted' engines and turbos caused by aftermarket oil batted air filters.

I put an AFE stage 2 dry cold air intake on my 07 PS, according to the mpg in the dash I'm getting about 2mpg better. Put the Bully Dog PMT on and if I stay off the skinny pedal I'm getting 7-9 mpg better than stock. I'm sure the OEM air cleaner filers well, try blowing air through it with an air compressor. I really dont see how the truck even runs with it. explains why there are so many leaks in the OEM air ducting. I used carb cleaner to check mine. Leaked worse than the Titanic. So what good is the Donalson system if it sucking in unfiltered air behind it? I could have sealed the system cheaper than the AFE cold air, but I like the clean looks and its sealed tight!
Ive seen alot of guys do the zoodad Im just wondering if it really does anything, looks good in theory.

First I have ever heard of someone with this problem.

Air filter and Air Compressor in the same sentence is a NoNo! great way to rip an air filter and let a bunch of junk through.

BTW, when I ran my truck on the Dyno the other day, Filter off Hood up got less than 1 HP better than filter on hood closed. LESS THAN 1! That to me is proof that it flows plety of air.

Absolutely. Best way to test the stock air filter's restriction. I'd definietly stand by the stock filtration system...Increased power isn't worth a dirty engine

I'm going to get a drop-in filter for my 6.4 It's alot cheaper, and it will give me more than enough clean air

don't get a K&N drop-in. You'll sand-blast your turbo!

Air compressor was used just minutes, before we used the OEM filter as a football and then burned it just to make sure it was gone. I wasn't born yesterday either and have spent more time building diesels than most of you have been alive. I really get tickled with the attitudes that anyone with a different opinion is an idiot. If I dont have a SCT my truck will disintegrate! If I use synthetics the drivetrain will implode, If I dont do just as instructed I will be turned in to the diesel cops and the beatings will continue till I come to thier way of thinking.
My first diesel was a 1969 F100 with a perkins diesel dropped into it. It had a 4 speed with a brownie box behind it. We had an Oldsmobile with the GM diesel in it, had over 300,000 on the clock when we sold it. My brother still drives a Ford Capri with a 4cyl diesel, gets about 55mpg and tops out about 80 mph. He has close to 400,000 on it rebuilt once. We had diesel tractors, irrigation motors and pump jacks. Been burning used motor oil since I was old enough to change oil. When GM introduced the 6.2L we were putting them in dump trucks, grain trucks, pickups, cars, it weighs less than a 454ci. and puts out way more torque. Most of them are still running 30 years later. how many have put the MB 3 cyl diesel in a Ford ranger? we did. Want simplicity look at a 1 cyl Yanmar.
My 07 F250 is my first "electric" diesel, and I am learning alot, but it requires an open mind. There are lots of good products out there, some may work for you, some for me and some for someone else, not everybody wants to pull the sled, burn up the dyno, or break the land speed record.
