Default Quick Question...

Alright ford guys I'm not trying to talk , but I was driving a customer's truck this weekend(04 f350 PS), pulling a trailer and it was incredibly slow. trailer only had 3000 lbs...maybe.. Anyway, Here's the good part. the motor blew in about 10 miles. They're trying to blame me, but I am trying to convince em it was already . I kinda had it floored for about 5-6 minutes straight, but I do that in my cummins and my boss's 08 d-max all the time. They run fine.

What do y'all think?

I know the 6.0 is supposed to be weak, but I thought it could at least tow over 75!?

thanks man. If I could just convince these ******** at the dealership I'll be in great shape. It got real hot, cracked a head or blew a headgasket I'm not sure which. that aluminum cover around the turbo kinda melted too..it was all jacked up.

it was already messed up. my dad used my 97 one day to pull our car trailer loaded with our mustang. he calls me saying your truck will only go about 80. i told him add 10mph for the tires and turn up the chip . point is, if my truck can pull a loaded car trailer at 100mph than that 6.0 was a POS. i would tell that guy to get bent.

you also have to take in considration that the truck was an 04. they just started putting the 6.0's in them. like any new motor and electronics and cars trucks anything. it will have the untested problems. i have heard of the problem being with the egt's getting to high from being a smaller motor and a ton of bullshit egr that raises the exhaust temps. egt's raise your cooling sucks power goes to hell motor does not burn fuel properly then motor craps out and dies.
