Hi everyone. I am in great hopes to getting additional advice from any diesel experts out here for my '08 F450 6.4L I use to pull our 7-ton 41' fifth wheel camper up our steep Colorado mountain passes, where although the 6.4L did well the first few pulls me and my wife made up through Monarch Pass, by the third climb, I had the low volume fuel pump go out at 80K miles, then next trip the high fuel rail pressure (FRP) switch went out and then the crank sensor. Since then the power has not been the same. I am looking now to finding what would be the best engine (Cummins, Powerstroke, Duramax, etc) to do a conversion. Please if anyone has anything proven to work that you either did yourself or had a performance ship do and has a proven track record as to what the power plant is, please tell me. I am borrowing against my retirement so looking at all avenues of expert advice.
