Default 6.4 Swap to 6.7 or 7.3

Question for all of the Powerstroke guys, I have the opportunity of purchasing a lightly used F-450 4x4 (approx. 40,000 miles) for well less than $5,000.00. The problem is that the truck is a 2010 model, so of course it had the 6.4L Powerstroke that was blown and is no longer in or a part of the truck. I have heard nothing but horror stories about the 6.4 so was thinking of doing a 7.3 or 6.7 swap. Is there anyone in here that could give me some information on what the approximate cost of this swap would be, where to find the parts (adapters, motor mounts, etc), and just how big of a headache this would be. I will be anticipating your responses and would greatly appreciate any help that any of you fine people could offer.

Is the tranny still with it? Since the 6.4 has such a bad rep, you could pick up an engine for peanuts, rebuild it, do all the mods and still be dollars ahead versus doing a swap. IMO, once the mods are done, the 6.4 is as reliable as anything else made today.

I don't know where your hearing horror story's from unless there from people not smart enough to put a dpf delete on it with a good tuner H&S/Spartan/Sct. All 4 of my 6.4 powerstroke are deleted and have Spartan programmers 2 with over 300k hard miles I'm a farmer ones a service truck and the other has a triple axle gooseneck hooked to it all the time and the other two have over 100k non with any problems what so ever
