Question head removal?

Hey, I have a 2000 F250 7.3 powerstroke. I replaced all seven glow plugs but on the eighth one the hex snapped off. That was two days ago. I have tried every available option out there but head removal. Although I've worked on many different trucks and am a little more experienced than an average shade tree mechanic, I have never taken off a head from these kind of trucks. I've heard of removing the motor, lifting the motor, rocking the motor, or just leaving it in there. Any help or advice from someone who has been here before would be appreciated.

I have the glow plug soaking in pb buster right now as I have a last ditch effort to put a bolt inside the threads I tapped yesterday and then put a 1/2 socket over the gp hole and a nut on top of the socket to pull the plug out. having carefully drilled the threads out on the actuall gp I'm hoping it will break the carbon seal on the bottom of the plug.

Again, thanks for any help guys. I'll let you know how things go. Carter
