Broken Piston Ring

First time post.
I've got 2003 F250 4X4 7.3 with broken ring on #6 piston why? could it be from bad injector over fueling?

thanks for your reply . we are working on price at ford in Australia , still counting at 33500.00 for new engine replacement. cheaper to put a cummins in it ???????????

I dont know how your money relates to ours but I have a friend from Melbourne and he just sold his Brazilian 6.0 King Ranch used for $120,000. Getting a new 6.4. He said its gonna be like $140,000.
