Default auto tranny problems???

2001 7.3 w/ auto tranny.
engine runs very strong but it seems like when I accelerate from a stop or from a lower speed the truck feels sluggish. any ideas? the tranny was completely rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago.

Did they replace the torque converter when they rebuilt it?

A lot of shops like to gouge your pockets with transmission rebuilds but don't replace the torque converter if it looks "good".

Check to see if they replaced the torque converter, if not, that's your problem.

Is this a new issue or something from the time when the tranny was rebuilt?

Do you have any gauges?

Any other mods to the truck...

Whooooo... Lets get a little more info before having him pull the tranny and replace a TC (which by the way would not cause a sluggish take off)...
