Edge evolution
I installed the edge evolution two days ago and it works great it really woke my 7.3l up, my question is for anyone who has or had one is, is it drive train friendly or does it really hurt my transmission which is a automatic, and what level would y'all drive in daily to have power but not so much to where it will hurt the truck and if possible to help with miles per gallion any replys would help thanks

also depends on EGT's too but edge tunes aren't great for transmissions at all. They up the line pressure but dont increase shift speed so they just slip "harder". Custom tunes/trans tunes (Dp, Ts, exc) are the way to go.
Normally what i've seen is that the 100ish tune seems to do best for mileage on a Edge, just so long as your right foot loses some weight But it depends alot on your driving habits.

ive had my edge system in my truck for over 2 years never had a problem i did have my tranny blow a year ago but it wasn't from the edge my truck was used and ran hard with 230000 miles on it motor is running like a champ it boosted my mileage by 1-2mpg lots of power its a great system for a beginner who wants the most out of his stock truck ive done mods to mine and its working great lot of people say go with custom tune chips those are only good if you put new injectors in your truck and do heavy modding it all comes down to personal performance and fyi if you tow with it make sure you watch etgs you can keep it on tow mode when you tow just watch your gauges. and edges customer support is next to none.
i love my edge never had a problem with it

I've ran 3 DP chips and install over 20. Custom is the way to go. Each tailored to exactly what you want the truck to do and how you want it to do it. Jody has by far the best trany tunes out there. My tow tune shifts so hard it hurts but no slip and no heat. Cookie cutter chips are ok if thats as absolute far as you plan on going but ANY custom changes to the truck so special ways of driving (mountains, trailers, flat beds, exc) and a custom tune will blow them outa the water and the beauty is they cost the same.
