The 37Degree Filters website Test Reports show why the filter is so much more efficient. It filters more contaminants, at all sizes, better. By keeping contaminants out of the oil stream and trapped in the filter oil life is longer (and less engine wear). The company is ramping up so pricing has come down. $199.

I just put a Donaldson elf on my 7.3. over 1,000 miles and the oil still looks like I just poured it in. I expect at least 9,000 more miles out of the shell rotella-t I put in the engine. we will see what blackstone has to say in another 4,000 miles.
