This truck has had issues since day one... First, when my inlaws traded it two us (they were 3rd owners at 195k miles) the k and n looked to never have been cleaned. I mean u couldn't even see the pleats... Wife decides to buy a k and n intake kit. That was a trip because the factory airbox was just screw to the fender well. All mounts and bracketry MIA. Then the trans front seal let loose. I figured what the heck, I got it out, I rebulid it real stout. That actually turned out well tho. I knew she want more power so I built it for the future- triple disc, performance guts, etc...then she screwed herself out of the superchips programmer that came with the truck. Ford reprogrammed computer and cause it to be vin locked. So she bought an edge juice/ attitude. Nice, pita to install, but nice. Then we went round for round with ford about stuttering on the the shifts. They would saw, of ur trans is slipping. I grew up in a trans shop and my granddad who helped me, has built them since '55. Never a comeback on an E4OD. Even when built this way... It was a power issue because scan tool read trans reading was just peachy... Then the rear main and pan started leaking. Inlaws paid that bill thank god. Then after a week, the hpop started leaking oil-about 2 gallons a week. I just replaced it and now this. I did replace the cracked EBPS tube and EBPS itself. Replaced the IPR too. I took me awhile because all my tools are at work, and u alway forget the must important one. LOL! And I have been working dark to dark a lot and project was in the yard. No light no nuthin. Lots of rain and bad weather. The hood hurts a lot when the wind blows it down on u... Finally I test fire it, and of coarse the c*** is there. She just flips the f out about. The idle loping. So I said whatever and rolled out for a bit. Threw this post in and waited for response. Got good ones, but it was too late. Mama done flown off the handle so far I think I may be in for devorice over a truck... Glad I got nuthin to take...

IDM ok. Pcm possible, but ford said well mebbe and there went a grand from my pocket because my wife is way too trusting... I have the new, unopened pcm still. They wudnt take it back. I almost got arrested that day when they called the cops after I pulled the mechanic across the partsa counter and started loosing it on the parts guys. The manager just said there weren't nuthing he could about the money. I am thinking a viking funeral for the truck.
