Question Just pulled some codes

Over the weekend I went out to pick up my 94. The trailer weighed 8K Empty. I was pulling it just fine with the cruise on and I came up on a slight incline and then about midway up the hill the cruise backed off the throttle for a few seconds and then came back on rather aggressivly. When this happened, the SES light came on. When I got to Denver i pulled 3 codes:
#1 P1211 Injection control pressure above/ below desired.
#2 P1282 Excessive injection control ressure.
#3 P0475 Exhaust pressure control valve malfunction.

The P0475 is probably because I have the EBPV wired for a exhaust break. What would cause the other 2? i unplugged the ICP and there is oil in the plug. So I will be replacing it soon.

Id lean towards a sticky/bad IPR valve altho oil in the ICP is never a good thing. If the IPR gets stuck closed and HPO pressure will spike and shoot the P1282 code and then vice versa stick open and come up low causing that P1211 altho that one could have been from the cruise romping on it under heavy load.

You have a scan tool that could show you live data of the IPR duty cycle?? Should never get more that 12-14%ish range unless something crazy is goin on.

There is 162K on it, Mods are in my sig. I do not have access to a scanner. If it was IPR related then wouldn't there be a code related to the IPR? The HPOP has not been replaced to my knowledge. It Does start fairly quick. I'm thinking the pressure spiked so the cruise let off then when it dropped it cam back on.

Today I unplugged the ICP with the engine running. The idle did not change. I have a new ICP on order.

If the mechanics of the IPR are failing and not the electronic coil then no codes until serious problems, ie stuck open so no injection pressure. Cruise idea sounds good but I dont have much experience with cruise related shenanigans. Tend to stay under the hood most days if Im lucky

Now if the IPR was stuck open, would it run good/ bad? What? When I was heading back east loaded, My pickup was running like a cheetah hopped up on cocaine and redbull. It threw the same codes on the way back.

they never permanently stick unless they full out fail then the truck wont run but if they dont move how the PCM want them too then funny things happen. Higher than wanted pressure is like doing a 10k mod, more power kinda, lower and you be a pooch and throw a P1211 code

Well seeings how i have oil in the ICP plug, do you think it's just giving a false reading so the PCM is freaking out and trying to correct?
