No acceleration,gauges not working
I have a 2000 F350 that has lost all acceleration and all the gauges are not working. The wipers, lights, radio and turn signals all work. I limped the truck home using my TS chip on high idle. Any suggestions before I bring it to a shop with diagnostic equipment?
ok. is it a automatic? take the column trim off and locate the 3 wires for the O/D. those wires are probably chaffed and shorting out. seperate them and wrap some electrical tape around them or use liquid electrical tape. the fuse is No. 19. it's a 10 amp. hope this helps!!!
Thanks buddy. That sounds like you are right on. It's pouring rain here and I'll attend to this later. My son broke the overdrive switch on the end of the shifter column (automatic) some time ago and I didn't get around to fixing it because I was on the road a lot with the newest truck I bought. I noticed recently that they were shorting out and I decided to replace the whole shifter, which I just bought. I'll let you know soon. Thanks.
