Loud Clanking Noise Underneath Drivers Feet and Seat
I just bought a 2001 F250 7.3L it has 230,000 Miles. The engine works great and the truck was a one owner very well taken care of. The Truck looks like new. I have a loud clanking noise underneath my feet when driving. When I hit a small bump I can feel everything like its right there underneath my feet. When I get the truck betwween 70-80 MPH it really starts clanging underneath. What could this be??? Anyone else experience this??

I checked all of this and it looks fine. The hubs are not locked they are in the auto position. What could this be. Its got me a little worried. Today I was driving home on the highway and it got really loud and I could feel it underneath my feet. It sounds like something is turning and banging and it only happens at random times while driving 50 miles per hour or more.

Yea while its up (make sure its on jack stands if ur under it) grab a like 5 pound beater an hit ur leaf springs to see if they are rattling maybe a bad bushing? Try tapping on drive shaft kinda easy to not do damage but see if ain't loose grasp ur wheel top and bottom give it a shake same on left and right and halfway in between at an 45 degree angle

The noise is coming from worn out sway bar drop link bushings. Lay under you truck and smack the bottom of the end link upwards with the palm of your hand. Mine would make a metallic clunk. There never was anything real obvious to see. The lower bushing is like a rubber encased heim joint. you can buy replacement end links that is an easy repair or you can also carve out that rubber encased joint in the stock end link and install polyurethane bushings from energy suspension. I bought a replacement set from NAPA. I thought they were expensive. I was on vacation and needed a quick fix. I heard it is a little challenging installing the poly bushings but I would of done it if I was home.
PS - Take good notes on the orientation of the factory drop links before you remove them or you will be crawling under your friends Superduty to see how they go. They are left right up and down specific.

I have a 2001 F250 4x4 Platinum Edition.
I have the same issue, with 180k miles. I replaced all the swaybar - endlink bushing with the energy suspension kit. I still have the same clunk under the drivers side. I also get the same exact clunk if (at hwy speed) i let off the gas for 1 sec then press back on it. CLUNK!
Ever since the clunking steering is odd when turning. Right turn fights me, left turn over turns.
Is this all one problem or is it a combo? I've heard track arm bushings? leaf spring bushings?
