Default Fuel Filter

Hey there fellas, wondering if running the factory ford style fuel filter for my 7.3 is the best bet or if aftermarket ones like napa and wix are better? Are there any good aftermarket fuel systems that anybody recommends?

I havent had problems, just people have told me to use the stock cap and every filter you get from the parts store comes with a cap attatched! Not sure if the stock ones are suseptible to leaking or not?

Factory spec on a 7.3 is 10 microns at 98.6% (absolute per the SAE) with water stripping of 93-96%.

https://www.powerstrokediesel.com/index.aspx?PageId=404

The fuel filter ratings I am aware of are:

Donaldson P550437 (no cap) is 5 microns at 95%, like 6-7 absolute with 94-97% water stripping.
Baldwin PF7698 is 9 absolute with similar water stripping.
Napa's (aka Wix) filter is 14 microns nominal (50%) and unknown water stripping.

A good regulated return system is the best fuel system to run on a 7.3 IMHO.
