Default How to test gpr? And location

Okay starting to check my starting system and there's two relays in the valley of the motor, ones next to the fuel bowl and the other is directly behind it. How do I go about testing the relay? And which one do I need to test?

Test the one closest to the firewall. That is your glow plug relay. The front relay is the aih. You need to turn the key on and test the voltage at the bug studs. One will have constant power. The other is switched power. If when the key is on, you have the same or very close to the same voltages at each stud than you are fine. If there is a significant difference or no power at the switched stud, bad relay.

Bug studs? What should I set my multimeter to? Where should I put red and black prongs? Sorry I have no electrical experience at all,

he meant big studs and i believe 20dcv for the setting the big stud to the left is constant power the one to the right is switched.

if youre talking about the multimeter keep the black on a ground and red on the studs. first the one on the left to make sure its getting 12v and then turn key on and put the red on the right if u get 12v's there too then your gpr is good
heres a link for testing the gpr and gp's

just use a test light. it will work or it wont. and test it when its cold out b/c it won't work when it warm (which it isn't suppose to).
