Default 2000 f350 7.3 powerstoke q&a

im selling my 97 dodge ram cummins lookin at gettin a 2000 f350 4x4 4dr it has 250,000 miles auto transmission iwanting to know what are some of the issues these truck can have he says itshard to start below 35 degrees he thinks glow plugs need replaced any info would be appreciated

It could just be glow plug relay, cam position sensor had a recall on em so chech that, I'd get a scan tool and check the hpop and icp and ipr to make sure everythings up to par, and check for leaks in the valley to make sure the hpop system isn't leaking,

i live in mt, it gets that cold.. any 7.3 starts hard below -0.. find out when the tranny was last replaced, if joints have ever been replaced, see if he has any records of the maintenance on it, and ya what 99 said, look for leaks.. other than that, that truck is just broke in
