Default Hissing noise at certain rpms

I'll be driving down the road and I randomly hear hissing noise coming from the floorboard but if i give it some throttle it will go away but after i get up to speed and dont need throttle it starts doing it agian. Any Ideas on what it might be?

it's the EBPV. ( Exhaust Back Pressure Valve) try cleaning the EBP tube and sensor. there is a thread with a video for this. it's just another one of fords wonderful ideas.

I didnt think it had that since it has a Garrett 38r ball bearing on it but i might be wrong

i think you have it. look at the exhaust side of the turbo right by the down pipe. there should be a rod at the bottom of the housing that goes into the pedistol. the rod on the top is the wastegate. you can see the pivot point on the top of the exhaust outlet housing...

Unless someone gutted the outlet you still have the EBPV... You remove it from the factory turbo and install it on the 38R...

be careful with the sensor. it has a diaphram in it. a new sensor is about 80 bucks.
