I did this a couple of years ago and really like the mod. I have been thinking of moving the switch to my shift column to activate it.

Does this mod also function that if you hit the gas the brake cuts out?

on my last 1995 i had the previous owner told me it has an exhaust brake, and it was just a switch mounted to the dash, on or off

the truck was a 5 speed and i really liked how it functioned, i would flip it on and it would cut in as long as i was not hitting the gas, as soon as i would hit the gas it would cut back out and then come on if i deceled again.

i am wondering if the previous owner has just done this mod and it wasn't an actual exhaust brake like aftermarket because i don't remember seeing one mounted under the hood.

also the EBPV function was non existent on cold mornings which is how i liked it, if i really wanted i would just flip on the switch while the truck warmed up for 10 minutes and it worked the same way. But at least i could turn it off once i started driving!

anyone know?

Thanks
Dustin
