So got my chip Saturday installed with a good friend who is a diesel mechanic, followed instructions put chip and everything back in no start took it back out re cleaned remaining silicone started but didn't work in all sox positions, didn't work on high idle or no start obviously, then messing with it at work died flipping from 100 to 140, drove home that night parked it came out Sunday morning no start so I take it back out move truck and come back later clean even more silicone off with toothpick finger nails bad polish remover, put back in no start in any position at all. The keys were not in the ignition when removing or replaing PCM back in. Tried calling pho about 40 times today and emailed Corey and tried lbe chat before I went to work no answer guess there busy, so I need your alls help please! did you use scotchbrite to clean the terminals? did you cut the back of the plactic case out? it goes around the PCM.

Sounds to me like you may not have thoroughly cleaned it if after the third time you were still getting silicone off. You have to get rid of all the silicone front and back.

mine has been cleaned down to the copper since 2002 and I have not had a single problem. You need to make sure you have all the protective coating off the board at the plug terminals. I usually scape mine off with a razor blade. Just be careful and do not slip too far back on the board. Then clean it with the scotch brite pad.
