would the International T444E drop right in? I know some of the parts are different.

no it would not... front cover is different and IIRC oil cooler is on wrong side... swap those over, drop a plug in the fuel pump hole and GO!

I know the front cover is different, but how would the oil cooler be on the passenger side? I din't know there was ports on that side. does the international have a mechanical fuel pump?

fuel pump is in the valley... cam is different to run the pump... ill recheck sources on oil cooler

So it's similar to the OBS? I can't see Ford redesinging the entire block just so some parts don't translate over.

No. You want to run the ford stuff.. IH is alot lower HP and RPM

The company I used to work for bought them from International and dropped em right in so I'm not sure but maybe you just have to tell them it's for a Ford when you buy it.
