looking at a 03 with 200k on the ticker but a really nice price for our business...saying i did get it, and the engine took a crap, any of you guys have any luck with new/reman engines? if so, who did you get them from and how much? just wondering if it would be worth it or not. seen some new ones, complete long blocks for around 6k, complete drop in engines around 8500.

 

well i guess it depends if you want to rebuild a used engine. if you did get a reman i would personally get it from ford. but there are a ton of used engines out there.

 

Getting one from Ford will carry a warranty. Not sure how long though.

 

i believe the ford warranty is 2 years, unlimited mileage. that would be good for you bowietrucking. with as many miles as you put on.

 

I just hit 270 n ticking... I drive my truck kinda hard too I think ud be alright

 

i know jasper gives you a mechanical put together (rebuilt. this does not come with injectors, glow plugs, hpop, valve covers or harness's, fuel or high pressure oil lines, exhaust manifolds, up pipes, turbo, intake, fan, or anything for the front accessory drives. 5 year 300k warranty. $9 large!

 

9k for a not even close to complete engine???

 

Why not eliminate the middleman and get one from International.

 

ditch the T444E and put in a I530?

 

JASPER Remans are junk, and so are FORDs remans... I have several in the warehouse with windows in block...
