Its not like We specifically went out and bought our trucks just because it has electric switch on the 4X4. it just wasn't a deal breaker to me. I have yet to have it not go into 4X4 even when it was 20 below last winter. it is just a pain in the arssssssss to get it to **** out ....... so no its not a big deal to pull on the t-case handle if you have one but I am not changing mine out just because of this situation...........

I found some pretty basic directions on how to switch in and out of 4x4. Hope it helps. Though i would share .

Instructions

1
Check to see if you have manual hubs and that they are in "free" mode.

2
Put your vehicle into four-wheel high mode.

3
Drive forward for about a quarter of a mile.

4
Stop the vehicle and shift from four-wheel to two-wheel drive.

5
Place the vehicle in reverse and drive backwards for 15 to 20 feet.

6
Drive the vehicle forward slowly to allow the loosened shims to disengage.
