2000 SD with 6 Speed manual
huh. i didn't know the floor pans were different from auto to manual. i think all the pictures make it look harder than it actually is. but getting all the parts you need could be pretty hard.
BTW, I pulled my zf6 yesterday to replace a stock clutch with only 10k miles on it. Wasn't holding in the higher gears when you stabbed the throttle. Let me know if you want any measurements quickly as it's going back in tomorrow or Wednesday when my new clutch fork arrives.
Something to be aware of if you do this, I guess Ford updated the clutch fork at some point as the eariler zf6 forks were prone to breaking. I just did the clutch on mine and here's a side by side of the old fork (left) compared to the new design (right).
Clark is totally correct..the clutch arm in my 2000 F250 SD broke in half a few years ago. Ford really screwed up here and will not make it good. So if you remove your manual tranny be sure to check that you have the updated clutch arm. I know many people who have cars/trucks from the 60s still using the original clutch arm, this is a part that should not have needed replacement. The guy at the parts place made the " I sell a lot of those " comment when I went to get it.
