Default Daytime Running lights

Did some of the superduty's come with DRL's? The truck I went and looked at the other day had the headlights on after I started it but before I physically turned on the headlights... Is there any way to disconnect that so they just come on with the headlight switch?

i think they came out with a similar feature in 05. does the switch have a position to the left of center? like you are turning on the dome light in a OBS

I don't believe it did, I think it just turned to the right.

huh. i haven't heard of that on the older SD's. so the headlights were actually on? someone might have messed with it in the past. the dash piece around the gauges and the headlight switch just pops off. don't pry to hard tho, it's only plasctic.

Yes the headlights were on even though the switch was pointed straight upwards... This one doesn't pull out because it doesn't have the fog lights...

i think it only pulls out in the far right position on the older SD's. that's how mine is. i don't have the lights in the bumper. but i do have plug right behind the drivers headlight. it might have it there.

It was more then likely from Canada... I had a 95 OBS from Canada back in the day with the DRL... Loved it. You can disconnect the moduel, IIRC its on the drivers side fender.

You need to check it out...

"needs some work (glow plugs)"

Can be code for "Hard start when cold because of" - injectors shot or low compression or low/no fuel pressure or bad hpop... and so on

It started perfect the other morning when it was plugged in... I'm thinking glow plugs and a relay are in order.

If I picked it up, I would swap my injectors into it...
