Default 6.0 will smoke my 7.3!

had to deliver a load today in my buddies 6.0, and let me tell you, i love the 7.3 (i own 2 for commercial hauling) but man that 6.0 would smoke my 7.3!! both are chipped, mine has exhaust. mine is a ts chip, his is a bullydog. he claims 150hp, but i know my chip is supposed to be 140hp, but towing, that freaking thing ever pull!!! we both average 11mpg, tow the exact same trailer. just thought i'd share this with you all!

They have 8 years of motor and tech development to help them out, a better injector, turbo, valve train, tranny...

There going to be faster.

They also have 4 less head bolts, an EGR cooler, a vgt turbo that loves to stick...

He will have a puking truck soon.

I think the only reason the 6.0 outpulls the 7.3 is the better auto

I had a edge Juice on my old 05 6.0 and my 2011 6.7 powerstroke out pulls it stock.

No the injectors are not better on the 6.0 Jell a 6.0 1 time you have to put in new injectors 7.3 didn't have a problem like that. Turbo definetly wasn't better on the 6.0 turbo lag and durability wise.

All you have to do is drive a 7.3 manual with a chip and then drive a 6.0 with a chip. Then try to tell me the 6.0 pulls better.

They can spit way more fuel in stock form where are yer 7.3 cant. Reliability is definitely not there with the 6.oh but tune fore tune the 6.oh will win. Period. 300 hp tuned 7.3 vs a 450 hp tuned 6.oh...

hey, i was busy trucking yesterday after i posted this but i knew it would stir some of you guys up!!!! i love my 7.3 and wouldn't buy a 6.0 (wont say never!) but i hear people say 6.0s dont have power or they can't pull heavy loads. our trailers weigh 10,000lbs EMPTY which is more than most people pull loaded and the 6.0 i was impressed with how it runs. i can say that i do believe the tranny shifted at a better time on the 6.0 vs my 7.3 if that makes any sense. my 7.3 seems like it would go better if the darn thing would just shift and go! btw, the 6.0 has 160k on it, and has done some injectors. my 01 just turnt 80k and so far so good but i'll catch my buddy in miles in a year or so!!!

My opinion of the 6.0 was it doesn't have the low end torque. I've owned both an auto 6.0 and a 6spd 6.0. The 6spd even chipped was a dog down low.
