Default Stupid Trans Question

I'm about to pick up a trans and t-case out of an 01 excursion. I believe that trans is a 4r100.... but there is conflicting info about it... that's all it should be right?

What's the t-case called as well?

I'm pretty much just wasting posts so I can post it up and sell it at post 25 thanks

The trans should be the 4r100. I am not sure what the t-case is though. Even though I should know being I have one in my truck. I would guess it is some borg-warner t-case though.

Of course the guy with the trans wasn't sure what it was, and I had a couple folks tell me it could be an E40D (which I've never seen in a modern 7.3)

I mainly deal w/ gas motors and common motors and trans for rockcrawlers so the newer diesel trans are all new to me. Hell I've had my dodge for a couple years now and wasn't completely sure what trans was in it until I started getting serious about building it

Well, the E40D did come on the 7.3, but it was on the 98 and older and E series if I'm not mistaken -- all Super Duty's/Excursions came with the 4R100
